Summary

This job has a wide range of activities. First of all, I've developed the Cloud-based Data Framework solution. This platform is able to ingest data from different sources (e.g. IOT, On Premises file shares/databases, other clouds) so BrainGrounds can extract, transform and load information to the business of our customers. This platform is fully scalable and fast to deploy because it's built with Terraform (IAC).

Besides the development of this platform, setting up the internal IT was also part of the job. This was done by using Office365, Azure, Intune and Apple Business Manager to make sure we were getting the most out of the licenses that were already used.

Because BrainGrounds is working with important data, we had to make sure everything was built in a secure way. Therefore, I've also setup Device-Management, User- & Account management and Cloud-security to make sure we stay in control of all our resources.

Senior System engineer for Jumbo Supermarkten BV. The main focus was all about positioning- and implementing the Azure Cloud within the IT-infrastructure of Jumbo. That it was a success is clear because the last project I've been working on was the replacement of the on-premises Citrix-environment for AVD including all the preconditions (e.g. hardware, software, user data, business processes) for all 700+ stores. I've made the High- and Low-level-designs on how to accomplish this and had an active participation within the project.

Besides AVD, finding solutions using Azure Native Solutions (e.g. Azure File Shares, Azure Automation Accounts, Azure Applications) and implementing OKTA as IDP for all the Cloud-solutions within Jumbo was also part of the job. The goal was elevating the IT of Jumbo to the next level by making use of a cloud-first-strategy.

Also (besides working for Jumbo) I've worked within Simac on the development on a Desktop-As-A-Service-solution that's part of the portfolio of Services that Simac can deliver. It's delivered with the use of Azure DevOps IAC for a smooth and fast deployment.
